Celebrating The Seasons
Today is the first day of Spring. I do not celebrate Easter, because I am not Christian and out of respect for the meaning of Easter for Christians, I won't attempt to mangle its meaning as many Unitarians do, to fit in.
I do however celebrate the changing seasons. Seasons show us that life is circular, cyclical. In the seasons we can see the presence of God. When I look at Nature in a spiritual way, I cannot escape the communion with the Divine that it brings to me.
Eternal Creating Spirit, thank You for the rhythms of Life. Thank you for the budding trees and the flowers starting to poke through the ground. Thank you for the breeze, still cool, bringing the smell of Spring to me. This planet is a generous gift from You, for which I am grateful. Amen.
