I am a collector of prayers; for me the prayers I collect are a form of religious poetry that sometimes simply, sometimes abstractly, express beliefs or ideas that are important to me.

So I plan to pepper this blog with some of the prayers I've come across, starting with the one below, from which I take the name of the blog:

Unitarian Prayer from India:

God, root and source of body and soul, we ask for boldness in confronting evil. O father and mother of humankind, may we redeem our failings by the good work that we do.
